Helping the Environment

Giving suitable technology another useful life is part of how we work. At Brackley Recycling, we assess equipment for refurbishment and help households and businesses arrange responsible IT and e-waste recycling.

Assessment and refurbishment before resale

Suitable items are assessed, tested, cleaned and refurbished before resale. Our approach follows Best Available Treatment, Recovery and Recycling Techniques (BATRRT) guidance. BATRRT describes treatment practices; it is not a separate certification.

Tell us about any information held on your equipment before collection. We can discuss the appropriate data-destruction service as part of the agreed process.

Recycling collected IT waste

Over 95% of the IT waste we collect is recycled. This figure relates specifically to collected IT waste, rather than every type of material we handle.

Check what we recycle and our exclusions guide before booking. Monitors, printers, scanners and loose batteries are not accepted.

Working towards net zero by 2050

We are working towards our 2050 net-zero commitment and monitoring our progress through Wenta and Climate Essentials. This is an ongoing goal: we are not claiming that Brackley Recycling is already net zero or carbon neutral.

Assessment, refurbishment and recycling are practical parts of our approach. We will keep the information on this page aligned with our actual activities and progress.

Arrange a collection

Send us a list or photographs of your equipment, its condition, the quantity and your postcode. We will confirm acceptance, availability and any charges before booking. Drop-off visits must be arranged in advance.
